I have a red 8gb ipod nano and it seems to only be playing music out of the left headphone. I thought my headphones were the problem to start with but I've tried with various other headphones and it still doesn't play out of the right ear. If you twist the headphones into a certain position you can sometimes get it to play out of the right headphone as well. Is this problem fixable? Configuration: red 8gb ipod nano History: works fine apart from the right headphone not working. |

The 3.5mm headphone jack is more than likely not gripping the contacts on the headphones. Depending on the generation of the nano (1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th) the jack may be available and that would dictate whether it's worth fixing or not (a new nano is $150 and likely has many new features). What I saw looked to require soldering but this depends on the specific nano model.
